How does a bot keep to its job?

01Its purpose is its job

Write a bot’s purpose the way you would brief a new starter. From it, the bot works out which of the things you can do on Able belong to its job, and it only does those. Change the purpose and it works that out again.

Who are you?

Ask a bot who it is or what it can do, and it tells you its purpose and the things it looks after.

Another job

Ask it for something outside its job and it names the bot whose job that is, or sends you to Able.

02It never reaches past you

A bot is yours alone: nobody else in your organisation sees it or talks to it. It reaches only what you can reach, and anything it sends to someone or removes waits for you to press it.

03How many you can keep

Your plan sets how many bots each person in your organisation can keep, and the pricing page states the number for each plan. Asking a bot anything is never counted.
