How the cart works
One cart, many businesses, and one checkout per business.
01One cart, many businesses
Everything you add lands in one cart, and the cart can hold things from several businesses at once. Checking out settles one business at a time, because each payment goes to that business and each order belongs to it. After one settles, the cart offers the next.
02Lines and quantities
Adding the same thing again raises its quantity instead of adding a second line. A business can cap how many of something one order may take, and the cart holds you to it. Switching a variant swaps the line for the chosen one, and its questions are asked again because a different thing can ask different things.
03The price you saw
Each line keeps the price you saw when you added it. If the business changes a price while the item sits in your cart, nothing is charged: the checkout shows the new price and asks you to confirm before paying.
04Signed out, signed in
You do not need an account to build a cart. A cart built while signed out follows you when you sign in, so nothing is lost at the door.
