Your website on Able

Add your website, sync what it holds, and prove it is yours.

01Sync your website

Add the address on the Domain tab and the sync tools appear where each one belongs; every read is counted under Website imports in Usage.

Recommendations
On the Public profile tab. One read of your website comes back as cards for the summary, description, contact details, hours, questions, links and social profiles. Tick what you want and press Save; retry a reading or skip a card for good. It also nudges setup steps you have not taken yet, such as connecting your bank or creating an offering, and those show with or without a website.
Sync images
On the Storage tab. Lists your site’s pictures that are not in storage yet, and each one you add is compressed like any other upload and stays private until you place it.
Sync products
The Sync button on the Offerings page. What your website sells lands as draft offerings, with the picture, under a type and category you choose once; a changed product offers Update. Publishing stays yours, in the editor.
Sync forms
The Sync button on the Forms page. Forms found on your website, and enquiry forms suggested from your services, land as drafts with their questions mapped; changed questions offer Update.

02Verification

One DNS record proves the domain is yours and earns the shield on your public page.

The record
A TXT record with a type, host and value you copy into the domain’s DNS at your registrar.
Verify
Checks for the record. DNS changes can take a while to spread, so a failed check straight after adding the record is normal.
Invites
A verified domain also backs Invites by email domain, prompting people who sign up with your address to join you.
Regenerating the token invalidates the record already in your DNS, and you have to update the DNS entry with the new value.
