Members, invitations and requests
Inviting people, approving requests, and what a member record holds.
01Three lists
Organisation Settings → Members keeps active members, invitations you have sent that nobody has accepted yet, and requests from people asking to join. Each is its own list, so an unanswered request never hides among people who are already here.
02Inviting
Invite by email address and pick the role they arrive with. They accept from their own account; nothing is created for them until they do.
03Three switches worth understanding
Allow users to request to join makes the organisation appear in search for people looking for it. Allow users to auto leave lets a member leave without approval — with it off, leaving files a request an admin resolves. Auto invite by domain prompts new users signing up with a matching company email address to join you.
04What a member record holds
Open a member to set their job title, whether their time is billable by default, and whether customers may choose them — on a form’s member picker, and as the person who delivers a booking. Being choosable is opt-in. Nobody appears to a customer until someone says so, and even then each form curates its own shortlist from the people who are. Turning it off is also how you take someone out while they are away.
05Hourly rate
A member’s hourly rate is the fallback used when a time entry carries no rate of its own, and it is what drives the minimum-wage top-up and the billable export. Only owners can see or set it. An admin manages everything else about a member — role, title, removal — without ever seeing pay.
