Transferring ownership and deleting an organisation

The two actions that cannot be taken back casually.

01Transferring ownership

An owner can hand the organisation to another member from Ownership on the Organisation page. They become the owner and you become an admin, so the organisation is never left without one. There has to be somebody to hand it to, so invite them first. Transfer asks you to re-verify your sign-in and confirm before it goes through.

02Deleting

Deleting an organisation removes every flow, offering, form, file and member record, and only an owner can do it. Because there is no undo, it asks you to re-verify your sign-in and then confirm.

If you only want to stop being found, turn off Public under Public profile instead. The page comes down and everything behind it stays.

03Leaving

Leaving is the members’ version, from Leave organisation on your own member record. Whether it happens immediately or files a request for an admin depends on the Leaving without approval switch.
