Board, list, calendar and timeline
Five ways to read the same items, and what the toolbar tells you.
01Five readings of one set of items
Board puts one column per stage and moves an item by dragging it. List groups the same items under their stage. Calendar and Timeline place them in time, with a Day · Week · Month · Year scale that appears only on those two. Flow lays the same rail of stages left to right, read-only — the map, not the work.
02Which views a flow offers
Each flow chooses the views it offers — Board, List and Flow to begin with — and the picker only appears once more than one is turned on. A flow of appointments is worth a calendar; a flow of internal tasks usually is not.
03Reading the toolbar
The chip on the left switches flows and is where New flow lives for anyone who can manage them. Beside it sit the flow’s status (Draft or Active), how many times it ran in the last seven days, and a For · company chip when the flow belongs to one company rather than the whole organisation.
04New item
Manual entry is a switch in Flow settings, off by default — an author opens that door deliberately. Once it is on, New item appears in the toolbar for anyone who can write items, and what it asks for comes from the flow’s trigger, so a flow that takes a form collects those answers by hand too. A flow that sells offerings also asks for the order-management permission before offering the button, because raising an item there is making a sale.
