Creating a flow, step by step
Every step of the flow wizard: the audience, the views, the three stages and what enters at the start.
01What is this flow for?
The name says what work the flow carries. Who it faces is the audience: External takes work arriving from your public page, and Internal is your team only, with nothing shown publicly. Picking Internal turns on adding items by hand, because internal work is entered by the team.
02How will you work it?
Pick at least one view for the items: Board, List, Calendar or Gantt. Three switches open the working doors: Add items by hand lets walk ins and phone calls land here too, Assign people gives each item an owner, and Notes on items lets the team comment as work moves. All of it changes later in the flow settings.
03Where does it start?
The wizard starts every flow with three stages. This step names the first one, where new work lands, and asks what puts it there: forms someone sends, or offerings someone buys. A form may feed more than one flow. An offering belongs to one flow at a time, and the picker names the flow already holding one.
04What happens next?
The second stage is the working stage. Pick the one thing the flow does the moment an item arrives here, such as sending a notification or requesting a payment. The words are preset and you can change them.
05How does it end?
The last stage closes the item. A review request goes out only when you turn its switch on.
06The last step: publish or draft
The flow is already saved from the steps you continued through. Publish it now or keep it as a draft. The step lists what the flow takes in, and a flow with nothing attached publishes but receives nothing until a form or offering enters it. An External answer applies when the flow publishes: its intake appears on your public page. A drafted flow holds the answer until then, and the switch lives in the flow settings.
