Creating an offering, step by step
Every step of the offering wizard, what each input is used for, and which steps are optional.
01What are you offering?
The name is required and is what customers see on the card and your page. The offering type sets the shape: General fits anything, and Membership, Product, Event, Booking, Service, Course and Hire each turn on the sections that kind of thing needs. A category row appears only once your catalogue has categories, and it decides where the offering sits in it.
02Description and image
This step is optional. The description is one honest sentence shown with the card. The image shows on the card and your page, and cards with a photo get picked more. The card works without either.
03What does it cost?
The price is required and is GST inclusive; the receipt shows the split. Types that renew also ask for a billing interval. Run a promotion is a switch: on, it asks for a promotion price and the card shows both prices.
04Ask before they pay?
This step is optional. Attach a published form and its questions appear at checkout for this offering. With no form attached, checkout stays quick. You can create a form here, preset for checkout questions.
05When it runs, where, and who delivers it
This step appears only for types that carry time, and it is optional. Pick the schedules the offering runs inside, or shape a new one from your business hours. Where it happens puts the location on your card. Who delivers it names the people, and customers can request someone by name.
06Any limits?
This step appears only for types that can carry limits, and every limit is optional. Total to sell caps how many exist, and the card says sold out when they are gone. Most per order caps one purchase. A sale window sells it only between two dates.
07The last step: where it goes
The offering is already saved from the steps you continued through. Publish it now or keep it as a draft; either way it is in your offerings. The step also asks which flow takes it in. An offering lives on your page through that flow, so a published offering with no flow cannot be reached by anyone. Pick an existing flow that takes purchases, or create one here preset with three stages.
