How do I get paid?

Connect your billing payments account once, and Akahu payments settle straight into it.

01Connect with Akahu

Billing payments account under Plan & billing hands you to Akahu’s secure page to connect your bank. Your bank confirms the holder name and account number of the account you choose, and that is the account customer payments settle to. Able never sees your bank credentials, and a recent sign-in is required before the account is connected or removed.

02Sales settle to your account

Money moves from bank account to bank account rather than through a card company, so there are no card fees. Customers pay from their own bank: they approve the payment there, or a payment consent they already approved covers it. The money lands in your account directly, and Able never holds it. Totals, GST and invoice numbers are computed and frozen on the server, never assembled in the browser.

03You can sell before you connect

A connected account is not a condition of publishing. Priced offerings and paid flows go live without one; their orders arrive unpaid and you settle them with Record payment. Connect later and nothing about the catalogue needs to change.

04Removing the account

Removing the account stops Akahu checkout until you connect a bank again, while offline payments keep working. Existing orders keep their history; only the destination for future money goes away.
