Variants, stock and promotions
Options with their own price and stock, and the one-field promotion model.
01Variants
Turn on the Variants section and each option carries its own price and either its own stock count (Own) or a shared pool held on the parent (Shared) — selling any option draws the same pool down. The server is what holds the line when two people check out at once. An offering with options cannot be bought without one: checkout refuses the line until the buyer picks, and says so — “Choose an option to check out.” Turning the section off hides the options and keeps them; nothing is deleted.
02Promotion price
Turn on Promotion and set a promotion price to strike the base price on the card. Turn it off and the values stay for next time. The promotion is one field, not a rules engine, and checkout always charges the price the server resolves at order time — never the price the browser happened to be showing.
