Variants, stock and promotions

Options with their own price and stock, and the one field promotion.

01Variants

Turn on the Variants section and each option carries its own price and a stock mode. An offering with options cannot be bought without one. Checkout refuses the line until the buyer picks and says so. Turning the section off hides the options and keeps them; nothing is deleted.

Own
The option carries its own stock count.
Shared
The option draws down a pool held on the parent offering, shared with every other Shared option.
The server holds the line when two people check out at once. The last unit goes to whoever settles first, and the other buyer is told.

02Promotion price

Turn on Promotion and set a promotion price to strike the base price on the card. Turn it off and the values stay for next time. The promotion is one field, not a rules engine, and checkout always charges the price the server resolves at order time, never the price the browser happened to be showing.
