How do I revoke a payment consent?
Stop future payments from a connected account, and what happens next.
01Find the consent
Open your personal settings and pick the Akahu section, then look under Connected accounts & consents. Each bank account lists the consents you have granted from it, naming who may charge you and when you agreed.
02Revoke it
Choose Revoke on an active consent. You confirm your sign-in first, then confirm the consequence — revoking cannot be undone.
03What happens next
Payments that relied on the consent stop. A membership or subscription it was paying for can no longer charge you, so it may lapse or be cancelled by the organisation — revoking is a decision about the service, not just the payment. To pay again you reconnect and grant a fresh consent.
