Where a file is used
How the platform knows, and why public files load faster.
01The list is complete
Offerings, your profile banner and card, the profile gallery, flow steps, signature requests and invoices all record the files they use. Opening a file lists every one of them, so an empty list means genuinely unused rather than merely unrecorded.
02Public and private
A file used by something a customer can see — a picture on an offering, your banner, the gallery — is served publicly and cached, which makes your pages load faster and costs less. Everything else stays private and is served through a short-lived link. You never set this. Using a file on a public page makes it public; taking it off makes it private again.
03Files on a job
Documents attached to a flow item belong to that item. They show up on the item itself, where the people working it can reach them.
